Course Description
In the United Kingdom the cleaning industry is growing and becoming a major sector of employment, current estimates indicate an annual income of 10 billion generated by a workforce of around 800,000 people.

So where cleaning was not always considered as a vocation, it is now increasingly becoming a recognised career option.
For each pathway candidates will to complete 6 units, three mandatory plus three optional units

The cleaning and support services sector covers a diverse variety of activities. To reflect these candidates are offered a choice of seven pathways:

Building interiors
Food premises
Highways and land
Carpets
Passenger transport vehicles
Windows
Caretaking
 
Course Contents
Some of the common areas covered in Cleaning and Support Services Level 2 are:

The mandatory units are health and safety, and maintaining service delivery. For one of the five optional units, candidates will be required to choose one unit from one of the following three :
Support the work of the team
Control the use of resources
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with customers
Outcomes
This qualification aims to enhance and improve the performance of cleaning and maintenance staff within the workplace. It also offers the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification by demonstrating your competence in the workplace.
